I'm a huge fan of trade publications because the narrow scope the magazines focus with allows the editorial to delve deeper into topics than say a broader-reaching consumer magazine can. So getting to design an iPhone app to pair with Bicycling's award-winning print magazine and stellar iPad app was a blast. The editorial staff is uber talented, only matched by the audience's passion for the discipline, which all leads to a work that is more like play than any other project I've been a part of.
